- Confédération générale du travail-Force ouvrière
- (CGT-FO)The Confédération générale du travail-Force ouvrière (CGT-FO) was formed in 1948 by the schism within the confédération générale du travail (CGT) caused when members opposed to the preponderant communist influence in that union left under the direction of léon jouhaux. Toward reformist tendencies, the CGT-Fo has, since 1989, developed a more confrontational policy. It has a membership of approximately 700,000.
